The five Dysfunctions which prevent a team from reaching their top performance:
Absence of Trust: the team is not capable of opening up and share real motives and worries preventing the team to perform
Fear of Conflict: Groupthink and Harmony are only hiding deeper issues. A confrontation would help to clear the air to improve the team to evolve
Lack of Comittment: the team does not meet their goals due to hidden lack of comittment
Avoidance of Accountability: the team conforms to lower standards
Inattention to results: lack of focus and more attention to Status and Ego of every member

There will be haters on this post. And that’s fine. But the people who write checks in the Valley have respect for what Digg built, whether the founders fell short or not. Smart people will always want to back these guys– as Mike Maples said on Ask a VC last week– and people like Arrington and me will root for them again.

UK and US scientists have found the remnants of a star that exploded more than 13 billion years ago.
It would most probably have been one of the very first stars to shine in the Universe, they say.
All that is left of this pioneer is the gas cloud it threw out into space when it blew itself apart.

Amazon Announces Kindle Book Lending Program
Now this is cool! If you own Amazon Kindle digital books, you can now loan them to your friends and relatives for 14 days. No Kindle required, but you do have to have the Kindle software on your computer or smart phone to read the books. Here's the announcement I received to day because a) I own a Kindle and b) I have content for sale in the Kindle Store.
We are excited to announce Kindle book lending (http://www.amazon.com/kindle-lending). The Kindle Book Lending feature allows users to lend digital books they have purchased through the Kindle Store to their friends and family. Each book may be lent once for a duration of 14 days and will not be readable by the lender during the loan period. All DTP [this refers to titles YOU publish on Kindle - you are publishing your ebooks and reports on Kindle, aren't you? If not, see link below.] titles are enrolled in lending by default. For titles in the 35% royalty option, you may choose to opt out of lending by deselecting the checkbox under "Kindle Book Lending," in the "Rights and Pricing" section of the title upload/edit process. Like vs. Touch

Ever since Facebook introduced "Like" the web is scattered by millions of Thumbs-Up! icons.
The Like symbol was supposed to provide a powerfull means for collaborative filtering, but hasn't it degraded to a mere noise generator? Everyone "Likes" different things, and among the hundreds of Facebook friends odds are that eventually the entire Web ends-up to be "liked" by your peers thus rendering the "Like" mechanics useless.
What if we would introduce a new mechanics to the web, let's call it "Touch". When was the last time you were really touched by a Video, Tune, BlogPost? That should be the real threshold to share with your peers.
Systems based on "Touch" instead of "Like" mechanics would greatly decrease the noise inherent to social networks and increase their utility manyfold.
